Pilot Implementation of Innovative Proposal for Service Level Improvement in a Spare Parts Trading Company

In the context in which spare parts trading companies are becoming increasingly competitive, level of service is essential to be able compete market. This indicator affected by on-time deliveries, a key factor meeting customer demand, as this determines satisfaction and thus has an effect on company's profitability. For company deliver its products time, warehouse processes must work efficiently, making picking process one most critical them. It also run proper inventory procurement order have stock hand fulfill orders. case study focuses increasing that sells for mining, was found low 66.1%, contrast recommended sector, 85.9%. Therefore, implementation 5S methodology, Systematic layout planning, demand forecasting, cycle counting proposed tools solve root causes problem. The main results indicated reduction times 36.70%, increase forecast accuracy 13.45%, Inventory Record Accuracy (IRA) 5.42%.
